Seattle SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business, is the non profit resource sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The mission of SCORE is to provide business assistance for both existing and start up business owners. SCORE’s counseling and training programs are well known in the community. Building on their expertise to small businesses, SCORE has produced a “Start-Up CD”. Seattle SCORE has developed 9 Business Model Startups for Clients wanting to start a New Business. These Startup Business Models now on a CD provide a user friendly tutorial for Clients interested in starting any of the following Businesses: Home Based Business, Food Service, Catering, Distribution Business, Manufacturers’ Representative Agency, Construction, Consulting, Retail Sales and a General Startup”. Seattle SCORE has a long history of working with clients, assisting them in understanding starting and operating small business. The Seattle Chapter was established over 35 years ago and has won numerous awards, including Chapter of the Year. Last year alone, Seattle SCORE counseled and trained over 4000 clients. Seattle SCORE led the way in developing Business Plan Guides for their business startup and established business clientele. The Business Plan Guides are continually being updated since it’s launch in 1993. The financial spreadsheets and templates have been further enhanced by Microsoft and are available for free download from the www.seattle.score.org website.
SCORE continues to lead the way in offering workshops for the budding and established entrepreneur. Workshops curriculum include; improving the bottom line with effective marketing and sales ideas, developing and expanding website and internet sales potentials, and cost saving tutorials on financing an accounting.
